Lichtplatte Wellglass is made of high-quality fiberglass, which provides long durability, high resistance to UV radiation, and withstands common hailstorms. Wellglass is a roofing material suitable for illuminating roofs and walls of pergolas, carports, kiosks, protective shelters, or industrial and agricultural buildings. It is not suitable for use as roofing material for permanently inhabited buildings. Wellglass has a corrugated profile and is supplied in rolls of various widths and colors, including clear and bronze, which are transparent. The opal color has a milky appearance.

Montage der Lichtplatte Wellglass

The ideal base structure for Wellglass roofing is wooden battens spaced 500 mm apart; at altitudes above 600 meters, the spacing should be halved. The upper side of the battens must be painted white or covered with metalized tape to prevent the structure from overheating. To attach the roofing to the base, screws with plastic washers or screws with protective caps are used. When fastening, a spacer washer must be inserted into each screw profile. The number of screws is approximately 12 per square meter, and they are attached at every third wave crest. In regions with adverse weather conditions, it is recommended to fasten them at every second crest. Rolls are not joined but overlapped. The side overlap should cover 1-2 waves, and the transverse overlap should be 15-20 cm.
